Whether you're a seasoned tea aficionado or just starting your journey into the world of Japanese teas, we've got you covered with our expert brewing guide.

Brewing Sencha:

  1. Start by boiling fresh, filtered water and allowing it to cool slightly to around 70-80°C (158-176°F).
  2. Measure out approximately 1 teaspoon of Sencha leaves per cup of water and place them in a teapot or brewing vessel.
  3. Pour the hot water over the leaves and steep for 1-2 minutes, adjusting the steeping time to your taste preference.
  4. Strain the tea and pour it into your favorite teacup. Enjoy the crisp, grassy notes and refreshing aroma of Sencha with each invigorating sip.

Brewing Matcha:

  1. Begin by sifting 1-2 teaspoons of Matcha powder into a bowl to remove any clumps.
  2. Heat water to approximately 70-80°C (158-176°F) and pour a small amount (about 30ml or 1 ounce) over the Matcha powder.
  3. Use a bamboo whisk or electric frother to whisk the Matcha and water together in a zig-zag motion until a frothy layer forms on the surface.
  4. Once the Matcha is fully whisked, add the remaining hot water to the bowl and continue whisking until smooth and creamy.
  5. Pour the prepared Matcha into a teacup or bowl and savor the rich, velvety texture and complex flavor profile with each luxurious sip.

Brewing Gyokuro:

  1. Heat water to a lower temperature of around 50-60°C (122-140°F) to preserve Gyokuro's delicate flavors.
  2. Measure out approximately 1-2 teaspoons of Gyokuro leaves per cup of water and place them in a teapot or brewing vessel.
  3. Pour the hot water over the leaves and steep for 2-3 minutes, allowing the leaves to unfurl and release their full flavor.
  4. Strain the tea and pour it into your teacup, taking in the rich aroma and vibrant green color of Gyokuro.
  5. Sip slowly and savor the nuanced flavors of seaweed, sweetness, and umami, appreciating each delicate note as it unfolds on your palate.

With these simple brewing instructions, you'll be well on your way to unlocking the full potential of our exquisite Japanese green teas. Whether you prefer the refreshing zest of Sencha, the indulgent creaminess of Matcha, or the luxurious sweetness of Gyokuro, each cup promises to transport you to a world of unparalleled taste and tranquility.
